She’s one of the biggest gay icons in the world – and now Kylie Minogue has announced she’s bringing the ‘Locomotion’ back to Oz for Mardi Gras!
Yep, Sydney get ready for plenty of ‘Spinning Around’ in those colourful costumes as the Aussie pop princess will be performing at the annual gay, lesbian and transgender bash for the first time in 14 years!
''I am coming home for Mardi Gras this year!'' she told the Sydney Morning Herald in a statement.
Marking her incredible 25-year career in the music biz with an exciting appearance at the Oxford Street parade on March 3, the pint-sized star “cannot wait” to be the guest of honour on a very special float!
“I simply cannot wait,” she added.
“It’s going to be a beautiful way to celebrate 25 years of this relationship.
''Your support over the years has just been phenomenal and I can't wait to come home and share that with you. So see you in March.''
The former ‘Neighbours’ actress first performed at the famous street party back in 1994, before bringing her sister Dannii along to join in the fun four years later.
"There is no doubt that our community contains an enormous number of Kylie fans so we are delighted that she will be here for Mardi Gras at the start of her 25th anniversary in the music industry," CEO Michael Rolik told ABC.
"We will be pulling out all the stops to show her a good time."
