After posing up a storm on the unique green carpet at LA’s Shrine Auditorium, the bash kicked off in style as soul Queen Mary J Blige took to the stage, belting out crowd faves including ‘Mary Jane (All Night Long),’ and ‘You Bring Me Joy.’
Bagging the first award of the night was Chris Brown for ‘Best Male R&B Artist.’ But the fun didn’t stop there for the ‘Beautiful People’ star, who went on to scoop another four, including ‘Best Collaboration’ for his smash hit ‘Look At Me Now’ with Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes.

Thanking his loyal fans, the hitmaker told the audience,
"I appreciate all the support. I know it's been a long road, so I appreciate every blessing in front of me."
And while the 22-year-old had plenty to celebrate, his ex Rihanna was the subject of an embarrassing on-stage technical gaffe when she was accidentally named the winner of her former beau’s ‘Viewers' Choice’ gong.
The ‘Rude Boy’ star had snubbed the event altogether, so her music pal Drake awkwardly went up to receive the prize on her behalf – before it was eventually unveiled that Chris WAS the actual winner.
Meanwhile, Destiny’s Child stunner Kelly Rowland truly raised temperatures with her steamy performance of her new single ‘Motivation’ alongside a very touchy-feely Trey Songz.

And outrageous rap princess Nicki Minaj did a little wooing of her own when she cheekily flirted with teen heartthrob Justin Bieber as the pair presented an award together.
"Do you drive? Can you handle curves?” she teased.
"Yes I can!" Biebs assured her.
