According to the NYDailynews.com, the ‘Pirates’ star, who originally began his career as a musician before he switched gears and became a film icon, took to the stage with Alice Cooper Sunday night in London – and concert goers weren’t the only ones blown away.
Originally Alice was meant to have been on stage with ex-Gunners guitarist Slash – but when the axe-grinder couldn’t make the gig Johnny was only too happy to take his place and provided backing guitar on three songs; Cooper's ‘18’ and ‘School's Out,’ as well as a cover of Pink Floyd's ‘Another Brick in the Wall.’
"Johnny, this whole movie thing...If it doesn't pan out, join us okay?" Alice joked onstage. The two first worked together in 1984, appearing in horror flick "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare."
Before the show, Cooper teased fans on Facebook with a photo of Depp backstage holding a guitar with the caption, "Johnny Depp!! Waiting to jump on stage with Alice..."
‘Johnny D,’ who has recently delved deeper into his love of music by contributing to tracks by Oasis, Brit band Babybird and Shane McGowan, earned rave reviews from Cooper's fans.
"Johnny was playing the guitar and he can bloody play too!" tweeted a fan. Before he became one of Hollywood’s most famous stars, Johnny dropped out of high school and headed to Los Ageles with his band The Kids. Is a reunion on the cards then Johnny?
