And of course, ready to kick off the hotly-anticipated bash - which will be broadcast from Belfast, Northern Ireland TODAY (Monday) November 7 @ 3pm on MTV - are the biggest, hottest names in showbiz, who’ve scrubbed up in their finest to sizzle on this year’s 16m hot PINK carpet!
First up is our stunning host for the Belfast event, Selena Gomez, who hit the Odyssey Arena in a vintage style cream Marchesa gown.
“I feel like a swan,” she told MTV of the first of her incredible ten costume changes.
As well as hosting duties, the songstress is gearing up to go head-to-head alongside her ‘Baby’ Justin Bieber for the ‘Best Fan’ gong.
“To be honest it’s going to be a tough one,” she confessed to MTV’s Tim Kash of her chances.
And what party would be complete without the stars of MTV’s ‘Jersey Shore?’
Bringing bling, tan and glamour all the way from Seaside heights, Snooki and JWoww got ready to fist-pump the bash away in matching black and silver gowns.
Telling MTV the best bit about hitting up the EMA, JWoww gushed,
“You get to play dress up, it’s like being a kid again.”
While Snooki was more concerned at meeting her fave pop idol Lady Gaga!
“Is Lady Gaga here?” she asked. “I met her as a man and I’d like to meet her as a girl.”
And Jessie J, who’s preparing to take to the stage alongside Ludacris, David Guetta and Taio Cruz, unleashed her inner tiger in a super saucy Dolce and Gabbana leopard print gown.
“I did my own make-up tonight,” she told MTV pink carpet presenter Louise Roe. “I hope I’ve done an ok job.”
Meanwhile, nominee and former EMA host Katy Perry matched the carpet perfectly in a candy pink ‘Grease’ style dress by Jeremy Scott.
And she didn’t stop at the dress, going for pink hair, a pink leather jacket and pink heels!
As well as fashion mania – chart-topper Jason Derulo rocked the stage in front of 80,000 fans, steaming up the crowd with his smash hits ‘It Girl’ and ‘In My Head.’
And the first prize of the party, the ‘Best Alternative’ gong was also dished out to 30 Seconds to Mars!
Hosted by Selena Gomez, the ‘2011 MTV EMA’ will see Justin Bieber, David Guetta, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Snow Patrol, Jason Derulo, Coldplay, LMFAO and the Red Hot Chili Peppers perform!
