Thankfully the French Canadian never released the song, but split a few eardrums when she performed the 'offence' against music at a Las Vegas concert six years ago.
The only thing that has salvaged the performance was the hilarious sight of Celine playing air guitar. The clip is available to view on Youtube; mute the sound if you don't want to crack your speakers.
"The number one worst cover song - Celine Dion covering AC/DC - is sacrilege," said the magazine's editor, Stephen Lawson. "The best covers are unlikely choices and they do something radical."
In second place was a Sugababes and Girls Aloud version of Aerosmith and Run DMC's 'Walk This Way', followed by Westlife's version of Extreme's 'More Than Words'. Will Young's cover of The Doors' classic 'Light My Fire' came fourth, with spoof lounge singer The Mike Flowers Pops' reworking of 'Wonderwall' in fifth.
And just because we can, we'd like to add a few of our own. Mario's unnecessary warbles in his recent cover of 'More Than Words' underminded the little credibility he had (earned via the the Ne-Yo penned hit 'Let Me Love You') in one fell swoop. Coming in a close second is All Saints who covered Red Hot Chili Peppers 'Under the Bridge'. "It seemed kinda funny, it looked as if they didn't know what they were singing about," said singer Anthony Keidis. And we're guessing they didn't, nor did the parents who forked out to buy the single for their tweens.
Jimi Hendrix's version of Bob Dylan's 'All Along the Watchtower' was voted the best cover, followed by The Beatles' 'Twist and Shout', which was first recorded by The Top Notes.
Guns N' Roses' 'Live and Let Die', Nirvana's 'The Man Who Sold the World' (David Bowie); 'Feeling Good' by Muse (Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse) also featured in the top five. Probably best to stick to sinking ships Celine.
