He may have swapped his passion for swimming to make it in the music biz, but we’re glad to hear that hasn’t stopped Cody Simpson still rooting for his Aussie pals in the Olympics!

The Gold Coast singer, who once won two gold medals at the Queensland Swimming Championships, told WWJ radio station,

“One of my mates won Silver in the breast-stroke and I had another couple of good friends make the team as well, so it’s good to see everyone doing well and swimming fast.”

And it sounds like local fans could soon be welcoming home the Codster!

Revealing plans to perform back Down Under, the 15-year-old told HotHits,

“I'm probably touring next year, and definitely coming to Australia."

And while we can’t wait to see the tween heartthrob back on our shores, he’s also revealed his hopes of cracking Europe too!

Following a string of successful shows in the US, the popstar added,

"I'm going to Europe for the first time... London, Paris, Germany, Belgium. A lot of fans are always tweeting me like 'when are you coming to Europe?' So that's something that I'm pretty stoked about.

“I love being able to travel around the world and see so many new places and stuff. I like being a jet setter, it's kind of fun."
