Well if you're Courtney Love, you post a blog on a social forum and air your grievances to the world. And the lucky recipient of the bitter tirade? None other than close friend Billy Corgan.
Kurt Cobain's widow has lashed out against the Smashing Pumpkins' singer after he allegedly refused to attend daughter Frances Bean's forthcoming sweet sixteen birthday party, and has accused him of making the young lass cry.
The rant comes as a surprise, as the pair have allegedly been fast friends for quite some time. Corgan moved to LA in 2006 right after his solo release The Future Embrace, and became rather close to the young Ms. Cobain and the Hole rocker. Reports surfaced the Billy was even living with the pair at one stage, helping Courtney with her new album. Love told Fox News in 2006 that "Not many people know this, but Billy's been living with me for the last four months".
But some bad blood has surfaced, which has resulted in an angry post on an online forum about the Pumpkin:
Love writes, "A sweet sixteen is a big event and I think she looked upon you as family. I know she did, as a trustworthy and wise (child), and you can't lay your shit on a child of 9, and you as a man of 40 - my child sobbing, due to you, is unacceptable. I hate stating this on some random public forum, but the line is the kid, man."
Love also mentioned singer Gerard Way has promised to be the event, begging his band mate to cancel his honeymoon plans. She adds, "Gearrd Way (sic), who would do it in five seconds and has even asked and begged for his bandmate to cancel out on the honeymoon of his so he can do it, made sure to promise to be there."
Love is adamant the rocker won't have any more communications with Frances - the daughter of the late Nirvana icon - and has branded Corgan's behavior "unacceptable." The reported reason for Billy's no show is The Smashing Pumpkins 20th Anniversary Tour, and while only one date has been confirmed so far, it seems there will be no appearances in Los Angeles around August 18.
Might want to look at re-scheduling some of the tour Billy. Should've known better to piss off mad-as-a-cut-snake Courtney Love. Seems her bitterness knows no bounds!
