The line-up for one of the UK’s biggest music events, V Festival 2010, has been announced.

Kings Of Leon and Kasabian are both set to headline the bash, which takes place across the weekend of August 21 and 22.

Fans will also see sets from the Stereophonics, The Prodigy, Paul Weller, The Kooks, Faithless, Paolo Nutini and Florence And The Machine.

Also playing on stage for the first time as a solo artist will be newly single X-factor judge Cheryl Cole , who’s recently split from footballer hubby Ashley after a string of allegations he cheated on her. Crowds will also be treated to performances from Pet Shop Boys, Pixie Lott, La Roux and Goldfrapp.

Kasabian revealed, “We can’t wait. We feel it’s the right time for us to headline a festival. We’ve been playing so many festivals for so long, years and years. I think the moment is right. It’s just a wonderful thing to be doing. Our fans are going to love the show. They’ll really enjoy it.”
