Thanks to soulful, gravel-spiked vocals, the odd collaboration with Europe’s hottest artists, and tabloid inches detailing extra-curricular cohorts with Lily Allen (they’re just friends) Daniel Merriweather is fast becoming regular chart fodder. Now, for the first time since 2008, the Aussie tune-smith is returning down under this November and December for a series of intimate headlining performances in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney!

Dan's been toiling away in the music biz since 2002 and back in the day appeared on tracks by Aussie hip-hopper Phrase and dance act Disco Montego. However, it was when he hooked up with international super-DJ Mark Ronson that the ball really started rolling.

When Daniel lent his vocals to Ronson’s cover of The Smiths’ classic 'Stop Me' (If You Think That You’ve Heard This One Before) little did he know he’d become a huge name seemingly overnight. The track reached No 2 in the UK in 2007 and spurred Daniel on to embark on a full-time solo career.

Daniel, who has since toured alongside the likes of Kanye West and Justin Timberlake, dropped his debut album ‘Love & War’, three months ago on these shores. The resulting melting pot of funk, soul, RnB and Jazz took nearly two years in the studio to perfect but anyone who has heard the outcome would agree it was worth every minute.

When Daniel returns downunder audiences will learn what the rest of the world has already realized: Daniel Merriweather is a bona fide superstar.

Tickets on sale to the general public from 9am Wednesday October 28 from www.ticketek.com.au
