Despite making the ‘Sunday Times Rich List’ in 2008 for an estimated AU$15 million fortune, singer Amy Winehouse is thought to have left behind just AU$3 million following her death in July.

Amy also owned two companies, Cherry Westfield and her CW Touring company, and both have shrunk in value since the list was published.

According to The Daily Star, a source close to Winehouse claimed she spent thousands of pounds on her addiction to alcohol and drugs.

“Even though Amy spent thousands on drink, drugs and hangers-on, she was still a rich young woman. Had she beaten her issues with drink, she would almost certainly have lived a worry-free and comfortable life. It is sad that having beaten drugs, she never got a chance to enjoy the money she worked so hard to produce.”

Last month toxicology results revealed the soul superstar had no illegal substances in her system when she died, and although she did have alcohol in her body it’s not known whether this contributed to her death.

This news has come days after reports claimed her ex hubby Blake Fielder-Civil used to charge the hitmaker money for a kiss!

A source told The Sun,

“They'd be sitting, having a couple of drinks and she'd be trying to snuggle up to him. She'd say, 'Give me a kiss, sailor.’ He'd go, 'F*** off, Give me some money then.”

“She'd pay for him to get cabs to wherever she was. She'd pay £150 (AU$225) for a cab. This was the pattern throughout their relationship."

The ‘Rehab’ singer tragically passed away at her London home in July aged just 27.
