Fans of Kelly Rowland won’t have to wait much longer to hear her brand new material!

The Destiny’s Child star, who’s gearing up to release her third solo album, says she decided to go back to her R&B roots.

Talking about her upcoming LP, which will be her first since signing with Universal Motown, she told Yahoo,

"Dance inspired this record completely. But I will definitely say that I did not forget about my urban roots nor could I ever. That is one of the reasons why I'm here. I won't let you down with this record, trust me."

And the ‘Work’ star revealed she also enlisted the help of hit-maker Ne-Yo for the project.

She added, "I have a record on there I love called 'Grown Ass Woman' - it's my favourite. [Ne-Yo] wrote three smashes [for the album], and this was one of them.”

And while the highly anticipated record may be completed, the singer’s yet to decide on a title. She adds,

"I'm still thinking of one! It's really difficult because there are so many things involved in this record, from the feeling, to the sound, to the thoughts. I even want intros on this record, because I miss that feeling."
