Multi-platinum selling songstress Whitney Houston has checked herself into rehab.
In an official statement, her spokesman confirmed to MTV News,
"Whitney Houston is currently in an out-patient rehab program for drug and alcohol treatment.
"Whitney voluntarily entered the program to support her long-standing recovery process."
The award-winning diva, who’s been in and out of rehab several times over the years, has previously been open about her struggles with cocaine, marijuana, alcohol and pills.
According to TMZ, the ‘I Will Always Love You’ star entered herself into the outpatient program earlier this month, but a few days later was spied singing onstage with Chaka Khan at a Prince concert in Los Angeles.
Whispers the 47-year-old had fallen back off the wagon first started when she struggled her way through her overseas tour in 2010.
In February last year the Herald Sun reported that fans at her Sydney show walked out half way through her set after a poor vocal performance.
