A sneak preview from the highly anticipated Batman film, ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ premiered at the ‘2012 MTV Movie Awards.’

The film’s stars Christian Bale, Gary Oldman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt came onto the stage and spoke about the new flick, before a montage of all three Batman films appeared on the screen behind them.

“This summer the story comes to an end,” Joseph revealed.

Christian also mentioned how nice it was to see the late Heath Ledger in the video, then the trio called in director Christopher Nolan to introduce a new clip for the upcoming flick.

"Every great story demands a great ending and The Dark Knight Rises is our best possible attempt to put a great ending to this story on screen," Christopher said.

The preview starts off with a scene between Anne Hathaway, who is playing Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, and Joseph, who has taken up the role of John Blake.

It then cuts to a fighting scene in an underground tunnel with Anne dressed up as Catwoman, before the footage ends with John asking Selina,

“What do you know about him [Batman]?”

“That you should be as afraid of him as I am,” she replies.

The Dark Knight Rises hits the big screen on July 20.
