MTV’s The Lair is back for another kickass season of melodies and mayhem!
De La Soul’s debut appearance in the dirty dungeon of rock, had the hip-hop loving crowd in a lather with medley’s of old school and new school tunes including crowd pleaser ‘Ring Ring Ring (Ha Ha Hey) and a bit of Madonna’s ‘Like A Virgin’. After more than thirty years in the game, De La Soul have still got it… and are sporting the bling to prove it!!
Also performing was Pez; the unacquainted may remember his huge summer anthem ‘Festival Song’. Pez hasn't had a huge amount of promotion on the local scene, but the second song he performed could be due to change all that; this kid is far from a one hit wonder. The wide-eyed lead singer’s apparent lucidity also added a rather amusing aspect to the gig, and his smooth flows are testament that we’re due to hear a lot more from Pez….
