The 24-year-old rapper (real name Dylan Mills) was picked up by UK police on Friday, 12 December, after an 'alleged incident' involving the baseball bat.
He was later released on bail and is due to appear in a South London police station later this month. All the local police would say was that, "a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of an offensive weapon".
We assume there's more to this story than meets the eye. Well, we hope so anyways. Last time we checked, walking around with a baseball bat wasn't a crime punishable by arrest - even if you are a rapper. What if you have a legitimate reason? Like, say, you're the opening batter in the local baseball league.
Dizzee Rascal's third studio album, 'Maths + English' was released earlier this year. He's since had a worldwide club hit with the Calvin Harris collaboration, 'Dance Wiv Me', and is said to be currently working on his next album. Rascal is also busy looking after his own record label, Dirtee Stank.
