It’s the news that's sure to come as a BIG relief to fans of super rockers The Strokes!
The uber talented five piece are NOT about to split.
In fact the chart-topping New Yorkers, who’ve been plagued with whispers of a break-up since the release of their fourth album ‘Angles’ in April, say they’re planning to drop a new record “as soon as possible.”
"If we could do it tomorrow, that'd be great,” bassist Nikolai Fraiture tells Rollingstone.com.
“But yeah, as soon as possible I think.
"We're trying not to lose momentum by taking time off and then having to reboot the whole system."
And as well as laying down new tracks, the lads are also busy plotting a US tour.
"It seems like something is lining itself up, but it's hard to tell right now what exactly we're going to do,” adds guitarist Albert Hammond Jr.
“We all want to do it, so we’re gonna find a way.”
