They’re living musical legends with a slew of number one hits and legions of fans the world over – and now, international superstars Pet Shop Boys, Culture Club and Jamiroquai have announced they're coming down under for a massive New Years Eve party in Sydney Harbour!

Staged at Glebe Island, the Sydney Resolution Concert Series will see Culture Club reforming for the first time in ten years, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.

But don’t just expect to hear the chart smashing 80s hits - Boy George, Roy Hay, Mikey Crag and John Moss are currently working on new material in the studio!

“Last time we got together was 10 years ago so it takes that long to recover from the last time we worked with each other," Hay told Seven's Sunrise on Tuesday.

"That's the thing that makes us want to come back and do it, is to write new songs and put some new material out as well as play the old ones," Hay said.

Boy George added: "The nostalgia thing is ok but it's a bit limited so for us to come and do this and enjoy it we need to kind of do something new and incorporate the two things, the past and now."

According to samesame.com, Glebe Island will be transformed into a ‘mini-city’ for the event, with a custom built venue providing entertainment, bars, markets and food.

Pseudo Echo, Guy Sebastian and Lyndsey Ollard will also be joining the line up.
