And who better to show her how to party like a true Aussie than MTV’s very own rockin’ VJ - Ruby Rose!
The pair hit Melbourne for a girls night out on Saturday and decided to make a surprise appearance at Melbourne High School’s year 12 formal!
Wowing hundreds of open-mouthed students at the bash - which took place in the ballroom of the singer’s hotel - the ‘I Kissed A Girl’ star grabbed a mic and began singing along to her smash hit ‘California Gurls.’
Unsurprisingly the crowd went totally nuts - but that didn’t put the songstress off posing for pics with fans, before dashing out with her new presenter chum.
The gals then continued their night out on the town at the Spice Market nightclub in the Grand Hyatt, followed by a boogie at Boutique nightclub in Prahran.
Taking to her Twitter page the following day, Ruby told fans, ''I don't know who's [sic] year 12 formal it was but nothing was going to stop @katyperry .''
