Being a global icon ‘n all, Madonna is probably used to a certain quota of over-zealous fans wanting to make her acquaintance.
But one fan has taken his obsession of meeting the star to the absolute limit, getting busted twice in four days for stalking the Queen Of Pop outside her upper west side apartment!!
According to The Herald Sun, Rob Linheart was arrested three days ago by the boys in blue after he strapped a sign to his SUV that said:
"Madonna, I need you. Tell me yes or no. If it's yes, my dream will come true. If it's no, I will go. XXX."
Even though the answer conveyed by Madonna’s security was a ‘definite no’ the retired firefighter refused to stay true to his word and was instead charged yesterday (September 22) with resisting arrest, possessing a graffiti instrument, criminal weapons possession, (he was carrying a Leatherman knife and pocket knife) and disorderly conduct.
The 59-year-old was also arrested three days earlier for similar charges, and Mad’s security team, who witnessed the event, said that he had been hanging around the ‘4 Minutes’ singer’s home for days.
Security guard Angel Melendez reveals:
"We thought he was homeless. But then we saw he had a car."
But it doesn’t end there – Linhard has made it crystal clear that he has no intentions of giving up on his crusade to meet Mads.
According to the New York Post, a Lindhard said:
“I can be here. This is police brutality. I have a right to do this. I am not doing anything wrong."
"I keep running into Madonna. I saw her in 1992 and I'd actually like to meet her in person. I won't stop until I actually meet Madonna.”
He added in a statement.
"I'm going to go right back there [Madonna's apartment] and do it again."
Robert joins a long line of Madonna stalkers – in the 90’s her bodyguard shot and wounded Robert Hoskins, who threatened to slice the mega-star "from ear to ear" if she didn't become his wife. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
