AC/DC may be forced to cancel their upcoming show in Austria because of unexploded bombs.

According to ORF the gig, planned for May 22 at the Wels airfield, is in turmoil as authorities fear the area, bombed in World War II, still has undetonated explosives.

Hermann Wimmer, the deputy mayor of Wels, confirmed that no decision will be made until a full assessment has been carried out by bomb disposal experts.

This is the second disruption to the concert, which has already been opposed by environmental groups, who claimed that it poses a risk to endangered local birds.

Following their world tour, the rock band, who recently wowed fans in Oz with their sell-out shows, have revealed they’re heading for the big screen.

The group are releasing a new album, including a selection of songs to be used for the soundtrack to new blockbuster movie Iron Man 2.
