He penned a track for their record-breaking debut album – and now the One Direction boys appear to have come up with a full-proof plan to nab uber-talented Ed Sheeran for their follow-up too!
The pop hotties have invited the iconic red-head, who wrote their single ‘Moments,’ to formally JOIN the band!
When quizzed about whether they’d be open to having a sixth member, Niall Horan told AndPop he’d be keen to have the ‘A Team’ singer on board.
“I’m digging red-hair man,” he told AndPop.
“He’s got one of the best voices you’ll ever hear.”
But, it seems the famous five have their work cut out to convince the 21-year-old, who’s touring Down Under in July, to become a full-time Directioner.
“I think it’s cooler to hang out with them than to actually be in the band,” he added to AndPop.
“I mean, I’ve got to where I am on my own and they got to where they are on their own and I think to add to either camp might be a mistake.”
