Sydney’s Enmore Theatre was lit up by cameras and iPhones as the crowd called for Canadian rockers Simple Plan to hit the stage on Saturday night.

As the lights went down the band stepped out in front of a full house, with fans as young as twelve right through to those in their thirties ready to rock. Leading with an old favourite, the boys had the crowd fired up as they jumped around to their 2004 track 'Shut Up', setting the tone for an energetic, hit-filled night.

The chanting carried on right through the set as Simple Plan performed over twenty tracks, including crowd pleasers 'Perfect', 'Addicted' and 'Welcome To My Life'. The band also pulled a few surprise covers out of the bag, including the Black Eyed Peas party starter 'I Gotta Feeling' and Pink’s 'Raise Your Glass'.

A high point of the night came when Simple Plan announced ‘something was missing’ from the show, before revealing Tonight Alive’s Jenna McDougall to be a surprise guest. Jenna showed off some killer vocals as she joined the band on their latest smash single 'Jet Lag'.

With a stack of songs, quick stage changes and plenty of interaction between the band and the crowd, Simple Plan put on a wicked show and showed why us Aussies definitely still have a ‘heart on’ for these guys.
