Eddie Vedder and Kurt Cobain didn’t really like each other very much back in the day.

During the early ‘90s grunge heyday the two would constantly bicker and throw snide remarks each other’s way. Most famously, Cobain once described Pearl Jam as "Pioneering a corporate, alternative and cock-rock fusion".

Still, time heals all wounds (well, most) and Vedder now thinks him and Cobain would be the bestest of buds. You know, if they were both still alive. Speaking with The Sun newspaper, Vedder had this to say: "If Kurt were around today, I know he'd say to me, 'Well, you turned out OK'", he told the paper. Cobain obviously isn’t on hand to refute this claim, but his widow Courtney Love might have a thing or two to say.

Meanwhile, the company that bought the rights to Nirvana’s back catalogue for $50 million dollars a few years ago is having trouble earning a buck. To date they’ve only made $2.8 million in licensing fees. That might be good news for the band’s legacy, but the accountants must be getting restless.

Don’t be surprised if a special Nirvana edition of Guitar Hero emerges before the end of the year.
