Cannon has hit back at the rapper’s tune ‘Bagpipes of Baghdad’ from new album ‘Relapse’, in which he disses Mariah repeatedly but then goes on to warn Cannon that he wants his Mimi back (Em and Mariah dated back in 2002).
Much like celeb ten-pin bowling, Em strikes out a crap-ton total of 15 celebs in his single ‘We Made You’. But in ‘Bagpipes’, the superstar uncharacteristically dedicates the entire track to ear-rupturing Mariah.
It’s been some time since the pair hooked up and Em has got tongues wagging as to why he saved his outburst until now. Cannon told US Magazine, “Homeboy is still obsessed with my wife, the same female that wouldn't let him get to second base from eight years ago.” Does this special attention mean that the breakup was more painful than initially thought? Eminem raps: "Nick Cannon better back the f@# up... I'm not playing, I want her back, you punk.” But then continues with a 180 degree flip; “I wish you luck with that f@#in' w$#re." Charming!
Cannon has chivalrously claimed it’s on like Donkey Kong and won’t have anybody bagging out his lady. He wrote on his personal blog, “[In the past] men could spew vulgar obscenities at our beautiful queens and get away with it." While the macho act may be a bit too Fresh Prince for some, it seems Mimi is lapping up the gallant act from her Knight in shining bling.
But Em has confessed that he is not always so confident when it comes to kicking up shit. In his song ‘We Made You’, he was unsure about the fat taunts directed at boot scooting gal Jessica Simpson for fear of upsetting her cowboy Tony Romo.
Being a big Cowboy fan himself, Em told MTV.com, “I felt kinda conflicted doing the Jessica thing…. [But] we wanted to stay within the current of what's going on right now in pop culture, because I think that my videos are little time capsules. Usually my first singles off of each record are little time capsules of what's going on in pop culture right at that moment. So I've always wanted people to be able to look back at each video and go, "Oh, remember what was going on at that moment!
“But then I started thinking, like, ‘Man!’ I was telling [manager and former Detroiter] Paul [Rosenberg] and everyone around me, ‘Man, I don't wanna piss Tony Romo off and he starts throwing games for the Cowboys!’
Sorry Em, too late.
