After cracking performances from John Butler and Washington this week – Guy Sebastian had plenty to live up to as he took to the stage for the ‘iTunes Live: ARIA Awards Concert Series!’
And boy did he!
Giving us a sneaky peek of what’s to come from his performance at the 2010 ARIA Awards, which takes place on Sunday November 7 at the Sydney Opera House, the singer rocked the stage at the world famous Botanic Gardens.

Taking to the open-air platform decked in denim and a bow tie, of course, he kicked off with his smash hit single 'All To Myself' from his current album 'Like It Like That.'
Next up, the Adelaide-born star showed off a re-worked version of 'Elevator Love,' which he dedicated to the stunning Jennifer Hawkins, who appears in the video.
"I was very lucky. it's not everyday you have Miss Universe in your film clip," he gushed.
Then slowing down the mood against the picture perfect backdrop of the subtly lit harbour behind him, Guy took to the piano for the super soppy 'Bring Yourself.'
Next, swapping the piano for some fancy footwork, he had the crowd dancing along to 'Out With My Baby,' which he co-wrote with "the man" Robin Thicke.
Taking a breather to praise his accompanying band and opening act on the night, Amy Meredith, he added,
"Australian music is so awesome, for such a small country, we've got so much talent here, its amazing."
But it was his duet with Jordin Sparks, 'Art of Love' that got the biggest cheer of the night. Stepping in for Miss Sparks was Guy's "amazingly talented" backing singer Carmen, who more than did the US songstress justice.
Next up was one of his "favourite songs" he's ever written, 'Closer to the sun,' followed by a touch of Latino spice with 'Oh Oh' from his second record, and his first ever single 'Angels brought me here.'
Then ending on a high, Guy closed his incredible set with a "very happy song," the addictive 'Like It Like That.'
And after that performance, it’s no surprise the Aussie Idol’s up for six ARIA Awards this Sunday, including ‘Best Male,’ and ‘Best Pop Release.’
Good luck Guy!
And while he's keeping his fingers and toes firmly crossed - we can announced three lucky more ‘2010 ARIA Award’ winners in the genre categories for BEST JAZZ ALBUM, BEST DANCE RELEASE and BEST URBAN ALBUM.
