A source close to the pair reveals they were fighting so much it eventually turned violent.
“One time I saw her [Lindsay] and she had a large welt on her head,” the source tells RadarOnline.com. “She told me that Sam beat the (bleep) out of her.
“She also said that Sam even punched and chocked her one time.”
The insider also says that despite breaking-up, the former couple now live in the same apartment complex in West Hollywood, and Li-Lo’s even given the DJ a key.
“It’s so twisted. They’re not together, but they are,” adds the source. “I never thought I’d say this, but I really do feel sorry for Lindsay. She is just lost. She’s alone. She has no friends to turn to.”
