Fall Out Boy are not exactly the epitome of bad and dangerous-to-know that the music scene has borne unto us in the past.

However, the good folk of Boca Raton, Florida seem to have confused the emo idols for some kind of anarchist punk rockers. After being booked to play the Believers Never Die tour in Boca Raton alongside Cobra Starship and Metro Station, Fall Out Boy have now been banned!

The city stated: "There have been known disturbances associated with one of the bands, 'Fall Out Boy.' We anticipate that the concert will generate security challenges."

Pete Wentz has since been reassuring his Twitter followers that they are working on a new venue for the Florida fans to see the boys in action, adding "We will make it there come hell or high water (no info on why we have been banned). There will be a show somehow."

Perhaps it was Pete’s declaration of his wild child tendencies at last months Vodafone MTV Australia Awards 2009 that deterred the city of Boca Raton. When sharing the stage with stunt rider, Robbie Maddison, Wentz explained “You know I’m kinda like the dare devil Fall Out Boy… make up runs into my eyes and like tears them up, but I get right through it; and I broke a nail playing bass, and I almost got carpal tunnel playing video games… yeah I’m pretty badass”. Yes Pete, as badass as our Mum’s crocheted pom pom socks.

We assume that the risk the town of Boca Raton is really concerned with is the enthusiasm of FOB’s rabble rousing young fans - or perhaps they’re just freaked by all the man makeup that will flood the venue.

Either way, harden up Florida!
