One Pearl Jam devotee has some seriously good Karma coming his way. Eddie Vedder has shown his appreciation to a fan who recovered his girlfriend's iphone full of personal photos in the back of a New York Taxi last week. The unnamed aficionado was flicking through the pics when the rocker himself called in a bid to track down the phone. The kindhearted fan on the receiving end of the call promptly rerouted his taxi to Vedder's Midtown Manhattan motel where the 'Daughter' hit maker exchanged a handwritten thank you letter, Vedder's personally engraved Zippo lighter and $500 for the phone. Lucky for Ed and girlfriend Jill that the photos were just family and friends, otherwise the fan would have a whole lot more to gain then just $500! Maybe even luckier for all the Rock Gods with their numbers listed on the iphone that the digits weren't published. Having recently wrapped a string of Pearl Jam gigs in the New York area, Vedder will return to the Big Apple on August 4 and 5 for two solo gigs at New York 's historic United Palace Theatre. The shows are part of an eight-city trek. See? Good deeds are rewarded after all. Pearl Jam must have the best fans in the world - we doubt if the phone belonged to Paris Hilton the information would have been treated so thoughtfully.
