But Aussie pin-up Liam Hemsworth is keen to prove he’s more than just a tasty piece of meat with his shock transformation for new action drama ‘The Hunger Games.’
“I wanted to look a little hungry,” he told Vanity Fair of his upcoming role as Gale in the movie adaption.
“In this [film] for me, it was more about losing weight. He’s a pretty poor person.”
And luckily for the former ‘Home and Away’ star, big bro Chris, who dramatically overhauled his own bod for the part of ‘Thor,’ was on hand with plenty of helpful advice!
“[My] brother said to me before I started shooting—he texted me and said something about me putting on weight. But basically his point was that it was called Hunger Games, not Eating Games.”
And while Liam may be happily settled with his popstar girlfriend Miley –that didn’t stop him from gushing about his super sexy co-star Jennifer Lawrence.
“She is fantastic,” he added. “Really easy to work with, no drama, really down-to-earth, such a funny girl. Nothing but good things to say about her.
“It always makes it easier when you’re working with people that you like and you enjoy being around.”
