Muse – one of the world’s biggest bands right now – will headline Aussie superfestival, Big Day Out, in January.

The intergalactic-rock trio will be joined on the bill by local axe-grinders, The Temper Trap, Powderfinger and Eskimo Joe.

Psychedelic Brit rockers, Kasabian, have also signed up to play along with the just-retired Lily Allen. (Enjoy her while you can!)

Providing the beats will be: disco demons Groove Armada, Calvin Harris, Ladyhawke and rap/dance maestro, Dizzee Rascal.

It’s just the latest exciting news coming out of Muse-land.

The English lads - who won over US audiences with their two-song slot at the recent MTV VMAs - are currently doing the unthinkable and bucking the global music sales decline.

Their latest long-player, ’The Resistance’, has hit the Number 1 spot in a whopping EIGHTEEN countries, their last humungous album ’Black Holes And Revelations’ conquering eleven, just to put it into perspective.

You’d be mad to miss ‘em…
