He oozes confidence and charm both on and off screen, so it may come as a surprise that uber-sexy Robert Pattinson wasn’t always so popular. In fact, the ‘Twilight’ star has admitted that he was the victim of bullying at school.
During an interview with Parade magazine, Rob not only admitted to being super-shy, but has said his thespian tendencies also made him an easy target for school-yard bullies.
He says: "I got beaten up by a lot of people when I was younger. I was a bit of an idiot, but I always thought the assaults were unprovoked. It was after I first started acting and I liked to behave like an actor, or how I thought an actor was supposed to be, and that apparently provoked a lot of people into hitting me."
It might be hard to believe, but R-Patz has also fessed up that when it comes to picking up chicks, he’s no where as confident as the lothario he plays on screen.
"When it comes to the opposite sex, I'm not as fully confident as the guy I play. I don't even remember the last time I asked someone out on a date, like, just went up to them and that's the first thing I did. I'm much more self-conscious and not wanting to fail. So I tend to hold back."
You will never fail in our eyes Rob! As for your old school-yard beat-downs, where sure those bullies are seething with jealously now.
