At first glace it may seem like Fall Out Boy and 50 Cent have the compatibility of prawns and ice cream, but considering Vodafone MTVAA host Pete Wentz' penchant for genre bending mash ups, we're not surprised! News has just broken that 50 Cent is due to join Fall Out Boy on their Believers Never Die Part Deux tour in support of their new album 'Folie a Deux'. Fiddy is set to join Fall Out Boy on tour for five dates, starting with Dallas stop on April 14. Additional cities where 50 Cent will be joining the guys reportedly will be announced each day this week on Fall Out Boy's Web site, FriendsOrEnemies.com. The recent post on FOB site read: "Yep, that's right. FOE has made it big time & stepping into the spotlight to bring you the coolest tour this spring! Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship, Metro Station, All Time Low and Hey Monday are taking over the road on the Believers Never Die Part Deux tour, and it's gonna be b-a-n-a-n-a-s. The tour will be stopping everywhere - from Denver to Dallas." Any chance of bringing it Down Under boys? In other Fiddy news, it's been reported that the rapper doing a Prince and releasing not one, but two albums this year. As reported by MTV.com News, 50 was filming a video when he revealed he was the one who gave the idea to Eminem - and since he's not one to palm off credit when it's due - the Queens MC is gonna do the same thing. "What they don't know ... the new announcement is that I'm dropping two albums," Fif smiled. "I've had an opportunity to record since I thought I was releasing an album in December. But the portion of my record that I recorded with Dr. Dre was incomplete, because there was no opportunity to mix it. The only song that was mixed that I worked on with Dr. Dre is 'I Get It In' - that one is out now. It's cool, but I need the rest of them to be mixed before I can present my project to the public." He went on to say that his new offering 'Before I Self Destruct' will drop in June, after Eminem's 'Relapse' hits US stores on May 19 - and 50's second album will come one month after Em's second album, according to the current game plan. When asked to describe the concept of the upcoming 'Crack a Bottle' video, 50 didn't say much. "The concept ... this video is very artistic. It's an idea that Em and [his manager] Paul [Rosenberg] agreed on. It's exciting." And ...? "So you want me to tell what it is?" 50 laughed. "I'm not telling you." While Fiddy may be just exercising the right to flex his bravado, it will be interesting to see whether the record companies will allow him to release two albums together in these er, economically conservative times! We'll keep you posted.
