The final five nominees vying for the title of ‘Worldwide Act’ at this year’s ‘MTV EMA’ have been decided!

Barbadian-born beauty Rihanna, the nominee for North America, will battle it out with Dima Bilan (Europe), Han Geng (Asia Pacific), Ahmed Soultan (Africa/India/Middle East) and Restart (Latin America) for the gong, which will be awarded during the main show in Frankfurt next month.

Aussie favourite Gotye was in the running to represent the Asia/Pacific region, but was pipped at the post by Chinese Mando-pop singer Han Geng.

More than 160 artists from every corner of the world were a part of the ‘Worldwide Act’ competition, which celebrates the range and breadth of all the music that MTV has to offer across the globe.
