Brian McFadden has angered his ex-wife Kerry Katona after revealing he had "no idea what he was doing" when he married her.

In an interview accompanying photos from his recent wedding to Irish DJ Vogue Williams, Brian told the UK’s Hello! Magazine,

"This is me getting married for the rest of my life - and a completely different life.

“I was 18 or 19 when I got married the first time. I was in Westlife. I had no idea what I was doing. It wasn't till I was 30 that I turned into an adult."

Brian’s ex-Kerry, whom he married in 2002 and shares two children with, was furious about his comments and took to Twitter to vent her frustrations.

“I will never let anyone take away my first marriage not even my ex husband!” the former Atomic Kitten singer wrote.

“We may have been young but I knew full well what I was doing!!! And never in a million years would I ever dismiss it, especially bringing two amazing children into it.”

“Just want my children to know there were made with love and no regrets #eyeswideopen,” she continued.

The couple split in 2004, and their girls Molly and Lilly-Sue acted as bridesmaids at Brian and Vogue’s Tuscany wedding last week.

Guests at the intimate ceremony included Brian's ‘Australia’s Got Talent’ co-judges Kyle Sandilands and Dannii Minogue.

"Vogue has made me so happy. She puts a smile on my face every day. She has made me a better person," Brian said.
