According to Reuteurs, the wacky songstress, famous for her risqué stage set, has had her permit for the the sold-out gig denied, following Islamic protests over her “vulgar” style.
"She's a vulgar singer who wears only panties and a bra when she sings and she stated she is the envoy of the devil's child and that she will spread satanic teaching," Salim Alatas, the Jakarta head of hardline Islamic Defender Front (FPI) told Reuteurs.
"This is dangerous."
According to the Jakarta Post newspaper, more than 30,000 concert tickets had been snapped up by fans, desperate to see the hitmaker perform at the Karno stadium, with half of them going in just two hours of their release.
The ‘Poker Face’ singer, who’s latest world tour launched in Korea last month, is headed to Australia and New Zealand in June.
