Singing sensation Lady Gaga has continued her quest for world domination - from music to television, online to fashion runways and magazines, Gaga seemed to have it all covered. But now, the starlet has taken on the final frontier and released her very own book!
Mother Monster has collaborated with renowned fashion photographer Terry Richardson to release her first official photo book entitled ‘LADY GAGA x TERRY RICHARDSON’.
"I didn't hold anything back from Terry,” Gaga told MTV News. “He was with me every minute, every moment.”
Richardson, who last year also shot the Vogue Hommes Japan cover of Gaga only wearing meat, had the enviable job of following the pop superstar for a year, beginning at 'Lollapalooza' in August 2010 and finishing up in May this year at the very final 'Monster Ball Tour' show in Mexico.
“He has photographs of me waking up in the morning, brushing my teeth, in the bathroom, in the bathtub, in the shower," said Gaga.
“The thing about Terry, if you know anything about his photography, it isn't staged. He can get you to do things, and he can capture things that no one can ever capture."
Richardson snapped more than 100,000 intimate, random and behind-the-scenes moments of Gaga over 10 months. The ultimate collection of 450 colour and black and white photographs features Gaga on-stage at events including the '2010 MTV Video Music Awards' and the '2011 Grammy Awards,' and also takes you into the recording studio for the birth of ‘Born This Way’.
The book was released last week just in time for Christmas, and will no doubt be at the top of every Little Monster’s wish list!
