But according to a statement released by the couple, the fairy tale romance between Australia's golden couple of pop is over. Awww, this is one we were sure would last!
The pair say they broke up due to the difficulties of a long distance relationship she's based in LA and he in Melbourne.
They have mutually issued the following statement:
"Our careers demand we be in different parts of the world now and in the future, and the pressures associated with this have forced us to make this very difficult decision. We remain committed and caring friends, with love, admiration and support for one another. We would appreciate respect for our privacy at this time."
Yeah erm sorry, if Prince Willy and Harry didn't get privacy after the death of their mother, we doubt the two of you will! Unfortunately, it seems the couple have yet to realise they renounced that privilege the moment they became famous. However, they did manage to keep the whispers of troubled waters a secret and yep, we're in absolute shock.
Lisa's mum offered some clarity; Colleen told Confidential this was an 'emotional time' for the family. 'She's fine' Colleen said of her daughter, who become engaged to the former Australian Idol star in April.
"We really don't want to make any more comment about the news, which I'm sure you can understand. But it is an emotional time, which is to be expected."
A few months ago Lisa confirmed that she was happy to wait till her wedding night before "doing the deed" with then-fiance Dean Geyer (read the story here).
Maybe Lis was getting a tad frisky with the lack of 'action!' Well at least the Veronicas will will have plenty of 'heartbreak' material for their next album!
