One Direction star Niall Horan has another reason to celebrate after the band bagged themselves three Moonmen at the ’2012 MTV Video Music Awards’ last week, as the teen heartthrob turned 19 yesterday!
According to the Irish Independent, the boyband cutie spent his special day playing in a charity golf tournament in his hometown of Mullingar in Ireland to help raise money for the Irish Autism Action and a local homeless charity called Temporary Emergency Accommodation Mullingar.
“I just woke up! im 19 wohoooo! thank you all soo much for the birthday wishes and stuff! love u," the 1D star told fans on Twitter.
And the teen sensation also received well wishes from some of his fellow bandmates.
“happy birthday mate hope you have a great day , good luck in the golf today,” Liam Payne tweeted.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATE!! Hope you're having a good one. Big love .x,” Harry Styles posted on the social networking site.
Also taking to Twitter was Brit singer Olly Murs, who recently toured with the ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ hitmakers.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY @NiallOfficial have a ledge birthday dude!! Wherever you are in the world!! ENJOY!!” he wrote.
