London’s Wembley Arena played host to BBC Radio 1’s Teen Awards on Sunday night and all eyes were on One Direction!
The teen superstars managed to clean up, pocketing the top three gongs including ‘Best Single’ for ‘One Thing,’ as well as ‘Best Album’ and ‘Best Music Act’.
Niall Horan couldn’t contain his excitement, tweeting,
“Yesssss! We won best british album at #teenawards thank you soo much guys! Love.”
His fellow band member Louis Tomlinson also thanked their fans.
“That was amazing thank you so much teen awards and massive thank you to everyone who voted. Wow :)”

Before taking to a floating platform to perform, the boys jokingly introduced a cut-out image of Prince Harry as their 6th band member. A source told UK paper The Sun that the group "were getting a bit giddy and clearly worship Harry’s antics in Vegas."
Also performing on the star-studded night was teen favourite Taylor Swift.
Vamping up her good girl image, she wore mini gold hot pants and a jewel-encrusted mesh top. After her performance she graciously tweeted,
“That show was like "EEEEEEEEEEE!!!" @BBCR1 Teen Awards. Wembley Arena. I'm in love with you, London."

Aside from 1D taking home coveted awards, several other Brits were acknowledged for their talent.
‘X Factor UK’ judge Tulisa Contostavlos accepted the gong for ‘Best British Show,’ Daniel Radcliffe won ‘Best British Actor,’ ‘Male Hottie of The Year’ went to Olympian Tom Daley and ‘Female Hottie of The Year’ was accepted by the lovely Emma Watson.
