Superstar and honorary Aussie P!nk is no stranger to our shores after touring here extensively since the early noughties. Her sellout ‘Funhouse Tour’ in 2009 broke records for the biggest tour in our country’s history - and now, P!nk has revealed what sparked her love affair with Australia!

The outspoken singer told Hot Hits TV,

“I was doing a show, somebody in the front row goes ‘I can’t f**king hear you…tell them to turn your microphone up,’ and I’m like ‘Thank you! Honesty! Turn my microphone up!’ and then we went on with the show.

“And that’s Australians!”

P!nk is known for her amazingly energetic live shows for which she dances, performs acrobatics and is even suspended by ropes from the stadium roof. She also refuses to mime any of her songs - even when suspended upside down from a harness!

Next month, the tattooed singer will be packing up her family to visit Australia and promote her new album ‘The Truth About Love’ which was released last week.

Back in May she tweeted,

"Hi Australia. What's been up. I miss your musk. Bringing my little koala bear over there real soon. Can't wait,"

The star has a few scheduled appearances in Australia and will hopefully be introducing her daughter Willow to the Aussie lingo!

"I can't wait for her to hear all the accents she's gonna hear soon," P!nk continued.
