Reece Mastin released his highly-anticipated sophomore album ‘Beautiful Nightmare’ today, and this week, we caught up with the Aussie ‘Rock Star’ to about the inspiration behind the record and getting over his nerves!
“The debut album was obviously a covers album, so it wasn’t anything I got to write, but this one was all me,” Mastin revealed.
“I’ve written on every track, so I’m kind of nervous…it’s from me, it’s from my heart.”
“But it’s going to be awesome, I can’t wait to get it out,” he continued.
The album includes his hit singles ‘Shut Up And Kiss Me,’ ‘Shout It Out’ and his latest release ‘Rock Star.’ So what was his inspiration when he was writing for the record?
“I’ve just been listening to as much music as I can and I think that’s kind of blended everything in,” said Reece.
“So there are some tracks on there that have like eight different genres in them, but yeah it sounds awesome.”
