Former Disney stunner Selena Gomez has just been named one of Glamour Magazine’s ‘Women Of The Year’!
The starlet, who features on the cover of the upcoming December issue, was recognised for her career success and her extensive charity work, which includes her role as the youngest-ever UNICEF ambassador.
"Woman of the Year — I didn't even know I was a woman! I'm very honored ... and it's a very, very big deal to me," Gomez told the magazine in response to the accolade.
"I'm going to hold it close to my heart."
The ‘Love You Like A Love Song’ singer also opened up to the publication about how much she loves her famous other half Justin Bieber’s die-hard fans the Beliebers!
“I adore his fans. I would never, ever want to disrespect them,” Selena revealed.
“You know, I get it: I was obsessed with Jesse McCartney growing up! He was my world. My high school crush. So I respect it, and if anything, I admire it,” she said of their fierce devotion to the pop star.
It’s been a whirlwind year for Selena – on top of her appointment as a UNICEF ambassador, the 20-year-old has been busy filming ‘Spring Breakers’ and promoting ‘Hotel Transylvania’ as well as getting back into the studio to work on a new album. So it’s no wonder she finds it tough to spend quality time with her BFF Taylor Swift!
“I actually did talk to Taylor last week, and we were like, ‘I don’t even remember the last time I saw you,’ which is really unfortunate,” said Gomez.
“But if it gets too dire, I fly to Taylor or I fly home or I fly to Justin.”
