Hot off the press! After a year of dating former Australian Idol contestant and now Neighbours soap star Dean Geyer, Veronicas babe Lisa Origliasso has this morning announced their engagement. What an announcement! (and why didn't we get wind of this at Saturday's MTV Australia Awards?!)

Dean and Lisa met at the ARIA Awards in 2006, where the Veronica's scored Best Pop Release for their album "The Secret Life Of..." Dean has previously told the press that he is a virgin, so we guess that explains the haste! And who wouldn't want to Hook Up with Lisa? After adding an MTV Australia Australian Music Artist Award to her growing collection on Saturday, she's a girl to hang onto 4ever
