Global warming, terrorism and rising interest rates are some of the many big issues facing everyday people in today's society. Celebrities often use to their status to highlight the world's tragedies and injustices in an attempt to give back to their communities. Music producer/rapper Timbaland is no different; he has now addressed an issue that has been ignored for far too long. He is speaking out for all the "home boys" who get denied access to A-list events and LA hotspots. We say it's about time somebody spoke out against this travesty.

At Saturday's People Magazine all-star pre Grammy concert, Timbaland used the conclusion of his high energy set with Missy Eliot to shout "Next time I have one of my homeboys in line, let that (expletive) in!"

A confused celebrity-filled crowd, including the likes of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Ludacris watched as he continued ""I don't like to see my people turned around for some(expletive) magazine ... (expletive) y'all!"

Yeah, right on!

Sources close to the music mogul producer/rapper said that Timbaland was in a bad mood because he was unhappy with the lack of professionalism on the part of the party's organizers; or, to use media-speak, "production and security mishaps". Personally, we'd love to use the same excuse the next time some roided up bouncer prevents our mates from entering a bar.

And so, as the voice for the marginalised and voiceless in the form of rejected friends, we're sure Timbaland has no regrets about his outburst, because that's "just the way he are".

And both 'homeboys' and bar rejects worldwide are grateful this kind of inconvenient truth has been brought on the world stage.
