It’s the news at least 50 per cent of Twilight’s adoring fans wanted to hear: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are officially in love.
To the other 50 per cent - who fancy their chances with the sexy vampire, themselves - here is the bad news: the 23-year-old has admitted he had his eye on Kristen before he even met her.
Talking about receiving the ’Twilight’ script for the first time, the brooding Brit said: “I barely knew they were books so I had no idea what I was letting myself in for. The only reason I went to the audition was to see Kristen because I had just seen ‘Into The Wild’. Of course I had a little crush on her.”
He goes on: “I definitely had a thing with Kristen. Your first impulse is to ask for her number.” Gulp.
Sharing the love, 19-year-old K-Stew gushed: “He always looks like he’s thinking about something. And he’s quite witty. So he’s pretty sexy.”
If you wanted more proof, an insider on the set of ’The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ told Famous magazine: “They just can’t keep it to themselves. They want to shout it from the rooftops. What you see on screen during the kissing scenes is absolutely real. They couldn’t create that kind of tension if they weren’t in love.” Sigh…
Meanwhile, hot new details from the set of 'New Moon' have emerged. Get ready for the "wolf pack" - a quartet of buff, male werewolves - and teen star Dakota Fanning as bloodsucker, Jane.
Expect crazier, more life-like stunts, too. The movie's producer, Wyck Godfrey, revealed: "We had a lot of underwater stuff, when (Bella) is drowning. That is kind of new to Kristen."
The series also kicks up the drool-factor with even more muscle on brawny fangster, Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob Black. The 18-year-old admitted: "The hardest thing for me was the eating. I had to shove as much food in my body as possible to pack on the calories."
It'll all be worth it in the end, we're sure...
