He had more than five million followers, but One Direction’s Zayn Malik has decided to quit Twitter because he is fed up of the abuse he receives on it!
“The reason i don't tweet as much as i use to, is because I'm sick of all the useless opinions and hate that i get daily goodbye twitter :),” he tweeted.
"My fans that have something nice to say can tweet me on the one direction account," he added before deactivating his account.
It seems the 19-year old has broken many hearts, as fans flooded Twitter begging him to change his mind, with #ComeBackZayn and #ZaynComeBack trending on the social networking site.
Meanwhile, the news follows rumours that the 1D heartthrob reportedly invited a girl, who is not his girlfriend, back to his hotel room.
According to Perez Hilton, someone staying at the same place as Zayn caught footage through a peep hole of the band member hitting on the girl, who is believed to be a backing dancer.
