Ding Ding: Here Are The Biggest Celeb Feuds Of 2018
Honestly, we all love a bit of a spar from time to time, don't we?
However, most of us aren't famous and don't have millions of diehard fans that'll literally do anything - anything - to protect and defend us.
These celebrities do, though, and that's probably what helped make these feuds so bloody massive. Enjoy this rundown of the biggest celeb beefs of 2018, and all the shoes and drinks thrown in between.
1. Nicki Minaj vs. Cardi B
There's no other feud we could've kicked this one off with, is there? It was the shoe throw seen and heard around the world, and we still can't believe it ever happened. It all started when the two rap legends featured on Migos' 'Motorsport' and there was a whole bunch of 'are they/aren't they' for the months following that. The two seemed to be friendly at Met Gala, but when they attended Harpers Bazaar's Icons party during Fashion Week, all bets (and heels) were off as Cardi deadset tried to throw down with Minaj then and there. And the two haven't really let up since. There was some sort of weak truce called, but time will only tell how long that'll last.
2. Nicki Minaj vs. Travis Scott
Lesson learned: never ever get in the way of Nicki Minaj and the #1 on the Billboard charts. Minaj absolutely blasted Scott, accusing him of stealing a spot that was 'rightfully' hers by selling merch and tickets alongside his album ASTROWORLD. She even said to Ellen Degeneres that she wanted to "punch him in his f*cking face."
3. Nicki Minaj vs. Kylie Jenner & Actual Infant Stormi
Oh, she also brought Kylie and Stormi into the beef too. 2018 was weird y'all.
4. Iggy Azalea vs. Bhad Bhabie
This was started over a comment Iggy made about someone she knew going to a Bhad Bhabie concert that she probably didn't mean anything by, and Bhad Bhabie - who also might as well be an actual infant - took that ball and ran with it. It's sort of like the home-brand version of the Cardi B vs. Nicki Minaj beef. Instead of at being at a Harpers Bazaar event, it was at a FashionNova one. Instead of a Louboutin, it was a bottle of water. Still...it's pretty funny to watch.
5. Ariana Grande & Little Mix vs. Piers Morgan
Piers Morgan is a such a f*cking twat it hurts. In one of his stock standard bouts of mouth diarrhea, he implied that Little Mix - incredibly talented, stupidly successful Little Mix - need to take their clothes off to sell records, directly referencing their video for 'Strip' which is a song about women empowering themselves and one another. Grande caught wind of this crap, and swooped in to defend her girls.
"@piersmorgan, I look forward to the day you realize there are other ways to go about making yourself relevant than to criticise young, beautiful, successful women for everything they do. I think that’ll be a beautiful thing for you and your career or what’s left of it.”
Consider yourself burned, Morgz.
6. Kanye West vs. Lana Del Rey
The one time good friends turned on each other in 2018, after Kanye's repeated nonsense sent Lana well and truly over the edge. She was not going to sit back and let Kanye get away with some of the messages he was pushing - whether he meant to or not - regarding Trump and she really let him have it on Instagram.
“Trump becoming our president was a loss for the country but your support of him is a loss for the culture," she wrote. "I can only assume you relate to his personality on some level. Delusions of grandeur, extreme issues with narcissism."
7. Azealia Banks vs. Lana Del Rey
Azealia Banks was quick to come to Kanye's defense and demanded on Twitter that Lana apologise to him.
“I suggest you apologize to Kanye for trying to selectively make him complicit in 45’s abuse of women simple for agreeing with parts of his ideology while you frolic through society with other black male abusers," referencing Del Rey's friendship with A$AP Rocky who was charged in 2013 for allegedly slapping a fan.
No one, not even Banks, was prepared for Lana's badass f*cking response.
"@shopcheapyxo u know the addy. Pull up anytime. Say it to my face. But if I were you- I wouldn’t," she wrote on Twitter, apparently ready to throw some fkn hands.
“I won’t not fuck you the fuck up,” she tweeted later.
8. Pusha T vs. Drake
This is probably the wildest beef of them all, considering it's how we found out Drake has been hiding a son. An actual son.
Both Pusha and Drake were throwing diss tracks at one another, starting with Pusha T's 'Infrared' with Drake responding with 'Duppy Freestyle'.
But then, Pusha T unleashed the maelstrom that was 'The Story Of Adidon' which is likely going to go down as one of the most brutal, most savage and most 'holy sh*t' diss tracks of all time.
9. Kanye West vs. Drake
Wowsers, just when you thought the year was done, Kanye brings in the big guns.
In a 12+ hour tweetstorm, Ye absolutely dragged Drake for filth and accused him of threatening both he and his family.
It completely took over the internet because Kanye was holding nothing back, even bringing Travis Scott into it.
To be fair, this is less a beef as much it is just Kanye yelling into the void because Drake remained dead silent, and still hasn't spoken about it.
Is he taking the high road? Or does he know he'll lose this one?
