Nicki Minaj Wants Us To Know That Her New Music Will Be 'Historic'
Nicki Minaj is back and better than ever. The living legend returned to music earlier this month with not one but two singles. 'Chun-Li' and 'Barbie Tingz' see the rapper embrace her mixtape roots while also showing how much she's evolved as an artist.
Yesterday she took to Instagram to let a fan know that charts aren't everything and that she has historic music on its way.
After a fan commented on one of Nicki's posts that she (and the barbz) need a 'TOP 5', Nicki was quick to respond to her writing: "fans can't even enjoy the music anymore. Smh. We don't live in the moment. We're always worrying about the next one."
Nicki then added: "I don't NEED anything. I'm full of unspeakable joy, doing what I love, having fun again, making memorable/historic moments in the studio every day, feeling blessed, grateful, & experiencing it all with the best fan base on the planet."
The 'Anaconda' superstar rounded things off writing: "You'll love the album & you'll love the tour. Just breathe."

Amazing. We couldn't agree with Nicki more. There's so much emphasis on charts these days that it's easy to forget to just enjoy the art. Plus, with Nicki's album due out this year, all of these words are music to our ears. A "historic" album is coming.
Besides 'Chun-Li' and 'Barbie Tingz' are hits regardless. They have over 15 million streams each on Spotify and have already entered the Top 40 in the UK and the US. In fact, 'Chun-Li''s just become Nicki's 16th Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
Nicki is set to perform on SNL in May and has already revealed that she will debut a new song on the show.
I’ll perform a song you never heard b4. My fave on the album. 👅🦄 plus my second song. You can prob guess what that’s gonna be. https://t.co/SABvJNfa27

We could not be happier for Nicki on her joy, success and acclaim. We cannot wait to hear what's next.
She is one of the greatest rappers in history and we know that this album is going to be worth the wait.
