NOTORIOUS KNIFE FIGHT
Apparently, some people at the screening of new hip hop film 'Notorious' weren't paying much attention, because they certainly missed the film's anti-violence message. That seems the only plausible excuse for the knife attack that occurred at the film's 'official' after-party.
According to Police, the stabbing took place at a nightclub in Brooklyn - just a few kilometres from the murdered rapper's old home and left four men with stab wounds. One of the victims was stabbed multiple times and was in a serious condition. So far, police haven't released any statements about a motive, nor managed to pick up the offender.
'Notorious' is a feature film about rapper Biggie Small's life and death. It chronicles his rise from Brooklyn housing projects to one of the most popular and famous rappers in the world, following the release of his debut album in 1994, 'Ready to Die'.
Unfortunately, it all went a bit pear-shaped after that; Biggie and Tupac Shakur started calling each other names and this eventually escalated into an east coast vs. west coast 'rap war' that saw both murdered within a year of each other. Biggie was killed in 1997 outside an awards ceremony in LA.
