Harry Styles crowned Villain of the Year at NME Awards!
One Direction have picked up two gongs at today’s NME Awards, but unlike their Global Success Award at the Brits last week, something tell us the boys won’t be quite so stoked with these accolades!
As well as picking up the trophy for Worst Band, curly-haired heartthrob Harry Styles took yet another hit to the man-bits, taking home the honour of Villain of the Year!
While the band unsurprisingly didn’t show up to the event (they’re currently touring in Glasgow), Harry did take the time to acknowledge his ‘achievement’ on Twitter.
“And thank you to @NME for my award tonight. Gotta take the rough with the smooth eh?,” tweeted the star, who beat out Skrillex, Psy, Azealia Banks, David Cameron and Fred Macpherson for the title.
Florence and the Machine star Florence Welch also picked up two awards – Best Dancefloor Anthem for her Calvin Harris collab ‘Sweet Nothin’’ and Best Solo Artist.
Legendary rockers The Rolling Stones took home the Best Music Film award for ‘The Rolling Stones: Crossfire Hurricane’ and Best Live Band, while Muse received the prize for Best Fan Community and The Killers accepted the title of Best International Band.
